Route 50 Improvements

What is being done?

Turn lanes will be added along Route 50 at Route EE, as well as on Route 50 at  East Denmark Road. Route 50 will also be resurfaced between Progress Parkway and Interstate 44.  Guardrail upgrades will also be made.

Why is this work being done?

The addition of the turn lanes is expected to improve safety and help overall traffic flow on Route 50 while the resurfacing of Route 50 will help restore and maintain the driving surface. 

What kind of traffic impacts will there be during construction?

There will be off-peak lane closures on Route 50 throughout the project. 

 What is the construction schedule?

Construction is expected to begin in spring 2020 and will be completed in late 2020.

How much will the project cost?

The project is expected to cost $2.1 million.
