Project Overview
This project will replace the deck on the bridge over Fourche A Renault Creek on Route 185 in Washington County. The project is located approximately 7 miles north of Potosi. Construction is currently underway and will be completed by mid-June of 2019.
Traffic Impacts
Route 185 at the bridge site will be closed to the public for the entire duration of the project.
Detours
If you are heading north from Potosi the detour is Route 21 To Route T and Route A. If heading south from Sullivan, the detour is Route A to Route T and Route 21. For a map of the detour and the online public meeting bridge display, please click this link.
Project cost
The total project cost is approximately $385,000.
Why is this work necessary?
The existing structure on Route 185 was built in 1941 and is 22 feet wide. The bridge deck has deteriorated and is in need of replacement. The new bridge width will be 24 feet wide.
