Qualified Vendor List Contract

Innovation Description and Benefit:

MoDOT worked with the Office of Administration to create a qualified vendor list contract to order light and medium duty fleet. The contracting mechanism is new to MoDOT and provides a method to purchase fleet quickly during this challenging supply chain. Traditional fleet contracts have not been effective in the current economy because the pricing doesn’t keep pace with inflation and match the volatile timing of when dealers are able to receive orders. The qualified vendor list contract also allows a quick purchase for vehicles found on dealer’s lots instead of going through a lengthier solicitation process.
