This project includes bridge rehabilitations on U.S. Route 50 westbound over Devils Branch and Post Oak Creek. These bridges are located 0.6 miles west of County Road 105 and 0.7 miles east of NW 191 Rd west of Warrensburg. The project is scheduled to begin in Summer 2027.

JOHNSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a public meeting regarding bridge rehabilitation work on U.S. Route 50 westbound over Post Oak Creek and Devils Branch west of Warrensburg. The meeting will take place on Thursday, Sept. 24 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Warrensburg Municipal Building located at 104 S Holden St., Warrensburg, MO 64093.

Please note that this is an open-house-style meeting and NO formal presentations will be made. Those interested can attend the hearing anytime between the advertised hours to ask questions, learn more about the project, and leave comments. There will also be an option to leave comments online beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24 until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8. Why is this project happening?

While the integrity of the bridges remain, the bridge decks require repairs which will be addressed with a full redeck.

What will be the traffic implications?

Westbound 50 Hwy traffic will be reduced to one lane and utilize temporary crossovers to be put into a head-to-head configuration with eastbound traffic. Eastbound traffic will also be reduced to one lane.

How much will this project cost?

The project is estimated to cost $3.3 million.
