Project Summary

MoDOT is planning preventative maintenance and safety improvements at 33 bridges in St. Louis City and St. Louis, St. Charles, and Franklin counties to increase highway and bridge longevity.

Typical items of work will include sealing existing pavement and bridge decks, replacing pavement markings, replacing stream bank rock protection, replacing damaged guardrail, replacing guardrail that does not meet current safety standards, substructure bridge repairs and miscellaneous other items of work.

Some traffic delays are to be expected. Construction at most locations will use short-term or long-term lane closures. A limited number of bridges will be closed and use detours for the duration of construction.  Work may occur during the daytime or nighttime hours.

Work is expected to begin in summer 2023 and end in winter 2024.
