Project Summary
The Platte River Bridge on Nodaway VV is scheduled to be replaced. The bridge was originally built in 1962. Louis-Company LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will replace the bridge, rebuild the approaches, and install guardrail and erosion control measures.
Project Progress
MoDOT is designing the bridge replacement project. This phase includes designing the bridge structure, determining traffic control and the detour to be used during construction, right of way acquisition and a public input period.
MoDOT will offer three opportunities to receive community feedback regarding the bridge deck replacement project.
- A public open-house meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 7 from 5-7 p.m. at Jefferson High School in Conception Junction, 37614 U.S. Route 136, Conception Junction, MO 64434. Community members may stop by anytime to learn about the project.

This project was a part of the February 2026 letting. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a 3,176,347.70 contract to Louis-Company, LLC at their meeting in March 2026 If the lowest submitted bid meets all necessary criteria, the MHTC may award contracts at that time.
After the contract is awarded, MoDOT will work with the contractor to determine the construction schedule.
All work must be completed on or before Dec. 1, 2026, to meet contract requirements.
