Purpose and Need
The Missouri Route H bridge over Goodin Hollow Creek in McDonald County was built in 1963 and is in deteriorating condition in need of frequent maintenance.
Project Information
The contractor will demolish the current bridge and rebuild it with a bridge that is 10 feet longer and four (4) feet wider than the current one. In addition, the contractor will add permanent striping and object markers to the ends of the bridge.

Why is this bridge being replaced?
The Route H Goodin Hollow Creek bridge was built in 1963 and is in deteriorating condition in frequent need of maintenance.
Will access to the entrances and county road near the bridge be restricted during construction?
No. The bridge itself will be closed for up to five (5) months during construction, however the entrances and county road on either ends of the bridge will remain open.
How will residents and tourists get around the closure?
A detour will be signed over Interstate 49, Route EE, and Business 71. Detour signs and changeable message boards will direct traffic onto the detour.
