Project Summary
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), working with its consultant Jacobs Engineering Group, is preparing for a bridge replacement and interchange improvement project at Routes E/Y, over Interstate 70 in Jonesburg in Montgomery County.
The purpose of the project is to replace the existing aging bridge structure in the current location with a wider bridge, allowing for the addition of shoulders.
This project will require periodic closures and lane reductions on various sections of the interchange, including I-70, Routes E/Y, and interchange ramps, to facilitate construction work. As necessary, traffic will be diverted around closures utilizing signed detour routes.
Improvements at this location include:
- Replacing the Routes E/Y bridge in the existing location
- A new 44’ wide bridge consisting of 12’ driving lanes and 10’ shoulders
- Interchange improvements to accommodate the proposed I-70 template with the addition of a third lane, and improved bridge clearance and span lengths
** This project is scheduled to be start after the completion of the Bridge Replacement and Interchange Improvements Project on Routes A/B, over Interstate 70 near Pendleton in Warren County.
