Project Progress
MoDOT and consultants from TREKK Design Group are designing a project to replace the Route AC (Riverside Road) Bridge over Route 36.
MoDOT held three opportunities to receive community feedback regarding the intersection improvement project:
- An in-person public meeting will be held on May 20, 2026, from 4-6 p.m. at the Rolling Hills Library - Riverside Branch located at 400 Mosaic Court, St. Joseph, MO 64506. This will be an open house style meeting and community members are welcome to drop by anytime between 4-6 p.m. to speak with project experts and provide feedback.

An in-person stakeholder meeting was held with impacted businesses organizations, and individuals on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Contractors may submit competitive bids during MoDOT's scheduled lettings. This project is scheduled to be included in the December 2026 letting.
The construction schedule for the Route AC Bridge will be shared as the details are made available.

A: Yes, during construction the Route AC (Riverside Road) Bridge will be closed. Also, U.S. Route 36 may be temporary closed throughout the duration of the project. More details will be shared as they are determined.
