stoplight Project Summary

This project includes replacing the existing span wire traffic signals with modern traffic signals (mast arms and signal heads) to improve reliability and better align with current design practices. During MoDOT’s review of this area, additional improvements were identified including extending the northbound right‑turn lane on Route 25 and providing dedicated through and left‑turn lanes for both eastbound and westbound Route 74 traffic.

Tentatively, the project is anticipated to be let in FY 2030. As work is underway, motorists should anticipate staged construction with short, intermittent closures. Construction will be underway for approximately six months.
