Upcoming Signal Replacement, Intersection Improvements in Doniphan, MO

The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to improve the intersection of Route 160/142 and Route Y in Doniphan, Missouri. 

In an effort to update aging infrastructure, the project includes replacing the existing span wire signals. The existing span wire traffic signals will be replaced with modern traffic signals (mast arms and signal heads) to better align with current design practices. In addition, the project includes widening and constructing islands for right turns. 

Tentatively, the project will be let in December 2027, with construction beginning as early as February 2028. Construction will be underway for approximately three months. During work, motorists should anticipate potential lane closures and minor delays.
