About this Project
This project is in partnership with Kansas City, Missouri and Jackson County Parks and Recreation and will include the replacement of the current railroad bridge, which has reached the end of its service life and is now part of the Rock Island Trail. The current bridge will be replaced with a wider (Class I) railroad bridge over MO 350, near Noland Rd. and will still serve as a trail bridge as part of the Rock Island Trail. Work will be completed during the winter months to minimize the impact to trail users. As part of the project, turn lanes will be added and MO 350 will be widened under the bridge enhancing the experience for motorists.
Permitted construction by Kansas City, Missouri did take place in the project area of MO 350 and Noland Rd. beginning in Summer of 2023 through Summer 2024. This work was for the replacement of a water main and water line and was not a MoDOT project.
