Missouri Route 291 Intersection Improvements in Jackson County

MoDOT will conduct intersection improvements on Missouri Route 291 in Independence, MO. This project will extend the northbound MO 291 left turn lanes at Gudgell Rd and Hidden Valley Rd. Southbound MO 291 dual left turn lanes will be extended at MO 78 (23rd Street). Various signal improvements along the MO 291 corridor from MO 78 to Hidden Valley are also a part of this project.

The purpose of this project is to keep left turning traffic out of the thru lanes of MO 291 and improving efficiency of the intersection.
