news Project Summary

The Holt County Missouri Route 118 bridge over I-29 was built in 1972 and carries around 2,110 vehicles per day. MoDOT is designing a project to replace the bridge deck, rebuild the approaches, update guardrail and improve drainage.

Public Input Opportunity

MoDOT will offer three opportunities to receive community feedback regarding the intersection improvement project.

  1. A public open house meeting will be held on Oct. 19 from 4 - 6 P.M., at Mound City Middle School, 708 Nebraska St, Mound City, MO 64470 to discuss the project. Community members were welcomed to stop by anytime between 4 - 6 P.M. to learn about the project.

Contract Letting

Contractors may submit competitive bids during MoDOT's scheduled lettings. This project is scheduled to be included in the February 2027 letting. The contract may be awarded by the Missouri Department of Transportation Commission at its March 2027 meeting.
