Two in-person public information meetings are planned for Oct. 13, 2026: one in Rolla and one in St. James. Members of the project team will be on hand to provide updates on the preliminary plans for the pavement and interchange improvements planned for Phelps County. Attendees may choose the meeting which is most convenient for them. There will be no formal presentation, so attendees may come and go as they please during the advertised times below.

  • Oct. 13, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. at Rolla City Hall, 901 N. Elm Street, Rolla.
• St. James Forward 44 Public Informational Meeting 
  • Oct. 13, 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the St. James Municipal Center, 100 S. Jefferson Street, St. James.

Two in-person public meetings were held in April 2026 for members of the project team to provide information and answer questions from the community about planned corridor improvements on I-44 in Laclede, Phelps and Pulaski counties. There was no formal presentation, so members of the public were able to come and go as they please during the advertised hours below. By participating and commenting, the public helps MoDOT determine what best serves the needs of the motorists who use the interstate on an average day, while being responsible stewards of available funding.
