ABOUT THE PROJECT

Details

  • This bridge replacement is 1.8 miles south of New Market Road and 1.4 miles north of Route U.
  • This bridge was originally built in 1958 and has reached the end of its service life.

Detour

  • Old Pike Road will be closed during the new bridge construction.
  • A signed detour will not be provided due to low AADT of this roadway (less than 100 vehicles per day).
  • I-29 will be closed over a weekend during the bridge demolition. A signed detour will be provided for I-29 traffic during the weekend closure.
  • Intermittent short-term lane closures will also be needed on I-29 during bridge construction.
