Project Update
The proposed project includes upgrading Route 67 to interstate standards from the Route 160/158 interchange south of Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the Missouri/Arkansas state line. The entire project limits are broken down into five phases: Phases 1A and 1B, as well as Phases 2-4.
Phase 1A was completed in Nov. 2023.
With funds previously dedicated to the U.S. 67 corridor and the additional $60 million in funding from general revenue, a total of 7 miles of interstate-standard upgrades are now funded. This will bring the progress to Neelyville, Missouri and will allow a portion of phase 3 to be constructed.
On Oct. 2, 2024, a $26,443,934 contract was awarded to H.R. Quadri Contractors, LLC, for the addition of outer roads and lanes to upgrade Route 67. The new outer roads and lanes will be constructed at the following locations: County Road 338 south to County Road 352 and County Road 360 to County Road 338.
The next segment that’s funded for construction extends from County Road 352 to near Neelyville. This project will include upgrading the segment to four lanes and possible access upgrades at Neelyville. Tentatively, this could be let as early as March 2026.
