Details

MoDOT will replace curb ramps and sidewalks that do not meet ADA standards along with crosswalk markings at various locations in Jackson County.  

Timeline

Construction will begin in Spring 2026 and take place until Fall 2027.

Work for ADA improvements will not take place on U.S. 71 and I-435 during the 2026 World Cup.

Traffic Impacts

Work will be completed during non-peak hours resulting in minimal traffic impacts.

Funding

The cost of this project is approximately $2 million and is funded through both MoDOT and federal funds.
