North and Southbound Route 61 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform pavement repairs. Weather permitting, work will be performed Monday, April 8 through Saturday, May 25.
Restrictions on Route 61 will be in place in the following locations:
- Jackson: Route 25 to Old Orchard between 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- Cape: County Park Drive to Route 74 (S. Kingshighway) between 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Cape: Route 74 to the I-55 (S. Kingshighway) overpass between 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
