U.S. Route 65 now closed due to flooding

CARROLLTON, Mo. – U.S. Route 65 south of Carrollton is now closed due to flooding, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. Water from Moss Creek and the Missouri River is rising and now completely covers U.S. Route 65. The roadway is closed to all traffic between U.S. Route 24 at Waverly in Lafayette County and U.S. Route 24 at Carrollton in Carroll County. Please, for your own safety, do not go around the barricades blocking the roadway. Only a small amount of water is enough to sweep a vehicle off the road and the road surface below the flooding may be damaged.

For more information about the closure, please check the Traveler Information Map on modot.org or call 1-888-ASK-MODOT (1-888-275-6636Image removed.).
