Contract Awarded to Repair Bridges in Boone and Callaway Counties

SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a contract Tuesday for the rehabilitation of six bridges along U.S. Route 63 in Boone and Callaway counties. Capital Paving and Construction was awarded the contract, after submitting the low bid of $3,653,798.

Under the contract, the following bridges on Route 63 will undergo rehabilitation:

  • Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) over Route 63.
  • Northbound and southbound bridges over Gans Creek.
  • Northbound bridge over Bonne Femme Creek.
  • Northbound bridge over Turkey Creek.
  • Northbound bridge over Katy Trail.
  • Southbound bridge over Cedar Creek.  

The work is expected to begin this summer, with all six bridges expected to be complete in the spring of 2020.
