SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded a contract to E and C Bridge to replace the Route 179 bridge over the Petite Saline Creek south of Wooldridge. The contractor submitted the lowest bid of $1,416,118.
The replacement of the bridge is scheduled to begin this summer and be completed in the fall. The roadway will be closed once work begins. When a start date is established, MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media.
