Road Work for Mid-Missouri

April 8 - 19, 2019

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of April 8-19, 2019. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause traffic delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 124 over Grindstone Creek, west of Route 63 – New bridge construction continues.

  • Tree removal, clearing work and utility relocations continues. Minimal traffic impacts are expected.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in December.


Route 163 (Providence Road) between Interstate 70 and Route K – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue.

  • Work continues between Texas Avenue and Vandiver Drive. One southbound lane will be closed between Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Overnight Hours
Route 763 (College Avenue) between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Rollins Street – Pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Daylight Hours
Route 163 between Route H and Route K – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening is underway.

  • New shoulder construction is scheduled to begin Monday, April 15, beginning at Tom Bass Road. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • Guardrail upgrades will take place on the Clear Creek and Gans Creek bridges. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through each work area.
  • The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route N between Route 163 and Easley River Road – Chip sealing roadway pavement is underway.

  • Guardrail upgrades continue north of Easley River Road. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Business Route 54 between Saint Euncie Road and Dawson Street - Ditch repair will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route BB between County Road 440 and County Road 452 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route BB between Route PP and County Road 440 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route NN between Business Route 54 and South Outer Road 54 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Pavement repair continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. Project is scheduled for completion in May.

Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Route KK and East Valley Drive – Pavement improvement and J-Turn installation continues. The project is scheduled for completion in August.


Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route C between Route 54 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route V and Route 87 in Moniteau County – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route 135 between Bock Street and Main Street – Sidewalk repairs continue. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area. The project is set for completion in late April.


Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Interstate 44 between Phelps County Line and Franklin County Line – Pavement repair in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Interstate 44 at Route C – Slide repair on the eastbound entrance ramp is underway. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work. The project is scheduled for completion in May.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement striping will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route FF between Interstate 44 South Outer Road and Farris Road – Pavement repair will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Dent County
Daylight Hours
Route 32 between Route 72 and Route F – Drainage repair will take place Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 19. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route 72 and the Texas County line – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route H between Franklin Street and the Phelps County line – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route O between County Road 2050 and the Phelps County line – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 32 and County Road 5150 – Drainage repair will take place Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 19. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route CC between Route H and the Texas County line – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route OO between Route O and County Road 2010 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 19. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route 40 and County Road 332 – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 18. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route A between Route 124 and Route W – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 5 and Route 240 – Pavement milling will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between mile marker 118 and mile marker 128 – Pavement repair in the eastbound lanes will take place Sunday, April 14 and Monday, April 15. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Interstate 44 between mile marker 120 and mile marker 127 – Pavement repair in the westbound lane will take place Tuesday, April 16 through Thursday, April 18. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route E between Route 5 and Route 7 in Camden County – Pavement repair continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. Project is scheduled for completion in May.

Route N between Route 32 and south of Route T – Edge rut repair will take place on Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 19. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 42 over the Maries River, east of County Road 614 – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 63 between Route 68 and Interstate 44 in Phelps County – Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation continues.

  • Shoulder work and northbound acceleration lane construction continues at the intersection of Route 68. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 over Business Route 54 in Eldon – Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane is open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Route 54 over Old Tuscumbia Road, east of Route 52 – Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Route CC at Eldon Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Tuesday, April 9 and Wednesday, April 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Moniteau County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route E over North Moreau Creek, south of Route 50 – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-June.

Route C between Route 54 in Cole County and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route 87 and Route V in Cole County – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route K between Bybee Road and Wieneke Branch Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 52 and Route P – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 at Old Route YY – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, April 8. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 between Route FF and Cedar Lane – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, April 15. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 135 between Route D and Gray Fox Drive – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday, April 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route 52 and Route 54 in Cole County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route CC – Roadway and sidewalk repair continues.

  • Sidewalk repair during the daytime hours continues. One lane will be open through the work area.
  • Concrete pavement repair during the nighttime hours between Olive Street and Vichy Road will begin on Monday, April 8. One lane will be closed at a time and the middle turn lane will be used for through traffic. There will also be brief periods of one lane traffic, with workers flagging traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in October.

 

Route B over the Bourbeuse River, north of County Road 1400 – New bridge construction continues. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area.

Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route 68 in Maries County – Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation will begin on Monday, April 1.

Route 7 over the Gasconade River, south of Rio Road – Bridge painting continues. Minimal traffic impacts are expected. The project is scheduled for completion in May.

Route 133 over the Gasconade River, north of Rail Road – Bridge scour maintenance continues. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in May.

Route DD between Route 17 and Basin Road – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Washington County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 185 over Fourche Renault Creek, south of Fourche Renault Road – Bridge rehabilitation continues. The road will be closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-June.

Route 21 between the Jefferson County line and Route 32 in Iron County – Roadway resurfacing and sidewalk repair continues.

  • Culvert pipe extension in various locations continues. Minimal traffic impacts are expected.
  • Guardrail work south of Caledonia continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.
