JACKSON COUNTY – MoDOT Kansas City will close the left lane of both east and westbound Interstate 70 between Blue Ridge Cutoff and Route 291/I-470. This lane closure will take place beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, until 8 p.m. that evening. This closure will allow crews to take pavement samples to determine how much and how deep to make repairs on the roadway. All work is weather permitting.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
