Road Work for Mid-Missouri

April 15 - April 26, 2019

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of April 15-26, 2019. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause traffic delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 124 over Grindstone Creek, west of Route 63 – New bridge construction continues.

  • Tree removal, clearing and utility relocations continue. Minimal traffic impacts are expected.
  • Blasting operations are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 17. The blasting operation will require closures of the road for short periods of time.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Route 163 (Providence Road) between Interstate 70 and Route K – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue.

  • Work continues between Texas Avenue and Vandiver Drive. One southbound lane will be closed between Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 18.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Route 763 and the Randolph County line – Pavement repair work continues.

  • Work is scheduled to take place just north of Route 763 the week of April 15. One lane will be open through the work area.
  • Work is scheduled to also take place at the Route 22 interchange the week of April 15. The work will result in periodic northbound and southbound ramp closures at the interchange.
  • The work scheduled for completion in November.

Route 763 (College Avenue) between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Rollins Street – Pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Interstate 70 at the Route 63 Connector – Concrete overlay on the eastbound entrance ramp will take place on Wednesday, April 24. The ramp will be closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Motorist are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Interstate 70 at mile marker 115 – Concrete overlay in the eastbound lanes will take place on Tuesday, April 23. One lane will be open in the work area.

Interstate 70 at mile marker 125 – Concrete overlay in the eastbound lanes will take place on Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open in the work area.

Interstate 70 at mile marker 126 – Concrete overlay in the eastbound lanes will take place on Monday, April 22. One lane will be open in the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 163 between Route H and Route K – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.

  • New shoulder construction continues, between Tom Bass Road and Route K. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • Guardrail upgrades will take place on the Clear Creek and Gans Creek bridges. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through each work area.
  • The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route K between Route 163 and Burr Oak Road – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 26. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route O between Route UU and Grocery Branch Road – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 26. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route N between Route 163 and Easley River Road – Chip sealing roadway pavement is underway.

  • Guardrail upgrades continue north of Easley River Road. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route UU between Route O and Sugar Creek Drive – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 26. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight Hours /Overnight Hours
Business Route 54 between the Route H and Route 54 interchange –Pavement improvement operations will resume the week of April 15.

  • In addition to the paving operations, various side street approaches are scheduled to be resurfaced within the work area.
  • Resurfacing operation at Silver Drive is scheduled during the daylight hours Monday, April 15 and Tuesday, April 16. One lane of traffic will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The south portion of the project is scheduled to have new asphalt shoulders constructed at after the completion of Silver Drive operation.

 

Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Pavement repair continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in May.

Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Route KK and East Valley Drive – Pavement improvement and J-Turn installation continues. The project is scheduled for completion in August.


Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 over the Missouri River – Bridge inspection in the eastbound lanes will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday April 18. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route C between Route 54 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route 135 between Bock Street and Main Street – Sidewalk repairs continue. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area. The project is set for completion in late April.

Route 87 between Route B and Route O in Moniteau County – Guardrail installation begins on Monday, April 15.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route 87 between Hazel Dell School Road and Route O in Moniteau County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement striping will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route 49 and Route O – Pavement repair will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y in Iron County – Pavement repair and edge rut repair will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route FF between Interstate 44 South Outer Road and Farris Road – Pavement repair will take place Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route ZZ between Route F and McLeod Street – Edge rut repair will take place on Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 28 between Route 63 and Cedar Lane in Pulaski County – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 63 between Route 68 and Interstate 44 in Phelps County – Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation continues.

  • Shoulder work and northbound acceleration lane construction continues at the intersection of Route 68. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Route 63 between County Road 325 and County Road 341 –
Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 68 between County Road 449 and County Road 452 – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 over Business Route 54 in Eldon – Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane is open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Route 54 over Old Tuscumbia Road, east of Route 52 – Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Route H between Jim Henry Road and Sele Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday, April 17 and Thursday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Moniteau County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route E over North Moreau Creek, south of Route 50 – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-June.

Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route O and Hazel Dell School Road in Cooper County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 87 between Route O and Route 5 in Cooper County – Guardrail installation begins on Monday, April 15.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route C between Route 54 in Cole County and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Molly Branch Road and Morris Road – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place on Monday, April 15. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route K between Bybee Road and Rockhouse Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 52 and Route P – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 15 through Wednesday, April 18. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 at Old Route YY – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, April 15. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 between Route FF and Cedar Lane – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 135 between Route DD and Gray Fox Drive – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Tuesday, April 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route 52 and Route 54 in Cole County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route CC – Roadway and sidewalk repair continues.

  • Sidewalk repair during the daytime hours continues. One lane will be open through the work area.
  • Concrete pavement repair during the nighttime hours between Olive Street and Vichy Road will begin on Monday, April 15. One lane will be closed at a time and the middle turn lane will be used for through traffic. There will also be brief periods of one lane traffic, with workers flagging traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route 68 in Maries County – Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation will continue.

  • Shoulder work and northbound acceleration lane construction continues at the intersection of Route 68. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Route 8 between Route 68 and the Crawford County line –
Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route J between Interstate 44 and Route K – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight Hours
Route DD between Route 17 and Bunker Road – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 26. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Washington County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 185 over Fourche Renault Creek, south of Fourche Renault Road – Bridge rehabilitation continues. The road will be closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-June.

Daylight Hours
Route 21 between Route 8 and Route 32 – Pavement repair will take place Monday, April 15 through Thursday, April 18. One lane will be open through the work area.

Route 21 between the Jefferson County line and Route 32 in Iron County – Roadway resurfacing and sidewalk repair continues.

  • Culvert pipe extension in various locations continues. Minimal traffic impacts are expected.
  • Guardrail work south of Caledonia continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.
