HANNIBAL – The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will host a public hearing from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21 in the gymnasium at the Palmyra High School, located at 1703 S. Main Street in Palmyra, MO 63461.
The open house style hearing will provide the opportunity for nearby residents, businesses, and travelers to learn about and provide comments regarding intersection safety improvements at Southbound U.S. Routes 61, Westbound U.S. Route 24, and Route F near Palmyra in Marion County.
This project will realign the Route F roadway and relocate the intersection to a new location. Planned improvements will include:

- Removal of existing U.S. 61/24 and Route F at-grade intersection
- New roadway construction to connect existing Route F to the new U.S. 24 intersection
- Modifications to connecting routes
Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2028 with an anticipated completion by late 2029. The project is estimated to cost $5.2 million. Written and recorded oral statements and exhibits can be submitted at the hearing. The public can also review materials and make comments on the project web page beginning October 21, 2026. All comments must be received by November 20.
