Road Work for Mid-Missouri

April 22 - May 3, 2019

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of April 22- May 3, 2019. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause traffic delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 124 over Grindstone Creek, west of Route 63 – New bridge construction continues.

  • Grading and excavation work continues. The work is not expected to impact traffic.
  • Crews will be clearing the west side of the project.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Route 163 (Providence Road) between Interstate 70 and Route K – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Route 763 and the Randolph County line – Pavement repair work continues and crews will begin guardrail upgrades.

  • Work continues just north of Route 763. One lane will be open through the work area.
  • Work continues to also take place at the Route 22 interchange. The work will result in periodic northbound and southbound ramp closures at the interchange.
  • Guardrail upgrades will take place between Route 763 and Route 22. One lane will be open in each direction.
  • The work scheduled for completion in November.

 Route 763 (College Avenue) between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Rollins Street – Pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Daylight Hours
Route 163 between Route H and Route K – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.

  • Shoulder widening is expected to begin April 25. Beginning at Tom Bass Road and working westbound.
  • The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

 
Callaway County
Daylight Hours /Overnight Hours
Business Route 54 between the Route H and Route 54 interchange – Overnight pavement improvement operations continue. Work will take place between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

  • In addition to the paving operations, various side street approaches are scheduled to be resurfaced within the work area.
  • Resurfacing operation at Silver Drive continues. One lane of traffic will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • New asphalt shoulders will be constructed after the completion of Silver Drive operation.

 Daylight Hours
Route O between State Street and Route D – Grading operations for shoulder addition will begin Monday, April 22. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Pavement repair continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in May.


Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Route KK and East Valley Drive – Pavement improvement and J-Turn installation continues. The project is scheduled for completion in August.

Route 54 in Osage Beach – Pavement striping will take place Monday, April 21 through Tuesday, April 30 in various locations. One eastbound and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.


Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route C between Route 54 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 54 Eastbound to Route 63 Northbound Ramp – Routine bridge inspection will close the Main Street entrance ramp on Monday, April 22. The ramp will be closed between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorist are advised to seek alternate route.

Route 54 Eastbound to Route 63 Northbound – Routine bridge inspection will take place on Tuesday, April 23. One eastbound lane will be closed between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route 135 between Bock Street and Main Street – Sidewalk repairs continue. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area. The project is set for completion in July.

Route 87 between Route B and Route O in Moniteau County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in September.


Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Interstate 44 and Main Street – ADA sidewalk improvements will begin on Wednesday, April 24. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement striping will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route 49 and Route O – Pavement repair will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, May 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y in Iron County – Pavement repair and edge rut repair will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, May 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route N between Thickety Ford Road and Route W in Washington County – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route ZZ between Route F and McLeod Street – Edge rut repair will take place on Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Dent County
Route P between Route 32 and County Road 5130 – Shoulder repair will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, May 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route OO between Route O and County Road 2010 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, May 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route Y between Route 124 and County Road 135 – Brush cutting will take place on Monday, April 22 and Thursday, May 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route V between Route 3 and Route 5 in Chariton County - Pavement repair will take place Monday, April 29 through Thursday, May 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 42 over Maries River – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 63 between Route 68 and Interstate 44 in Phelps County – Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation continues.

  • Shoulder work and northbound acceleration lane construction continues at the intersection of Route 68. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Miller County 
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 over Business Route 54 in Eldon – Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Route 54 over Old Tuscumbia Road, east of Route 52 – Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Moniteau County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route E over North Moreau Creek, south of Route 50 – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-June.

Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route O and Hazel Dell School Road in Cooper County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, April 22 through Wednesday, May 1. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 87 between Route O and Route 5 in Cooper County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route C between Route 54 in Cole County and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route KK between Route D and Gooseberry Hollow Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, April 22 through Wednesday, May 1. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 52 and Oak Street in Moniteau County – Micro-surfacing and striping will take place Monday, April 22 through Friday, May 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 between Route 5 and West Blackberry Patch Road – Micro-surfacing will take place Monday, April 22 through Friday, May 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 at Old Route YY – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 between Route FF and Cedar Lane – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 135 between Route DD and Gray Fox Drive – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, April 22. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route 52 and Route 54 in Cole County – Guardrail installation continues.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route CC – Roadway and sidewalk repair continues.

  • Sidewalk repair during the daytime hours continues. One lane will be open through the work area.
  • Concrete pavement repair during the nighttime hours between Olive Street and Vichy Road will begin on Monday, April 15. One lane will be closed at a time and the middle turn lane will be used for through traffic. There will also be brief periods of one lane traffic, with workers flagging traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route 68 in Maries County – Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation will continue.

  • Shoulder work and northbound acceleration lane construction continues at the intersection of Route 68. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 8 between Route 63 and Crawford County Line – Brush cutting will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, May 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route J between Interstate 44 and Route K – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, April 22 through Friday, April 26. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight Hours
Route 7 over the Gasconade River, south of Rio Road – Bridge painting will begin on Monday, April 29. Minimal traffic impacts are expected. Project is scheduled for completion in June.

Route 17 between Red Oak Road and Rocky Mount Lane – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, April 22. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Washington County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 185 over Fourche Renault Creek, south of Fourche Renault Road – Bridge rehabilitation continues. The road will be closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-June.

Daylight Hours
Route 21 between Route 8 and Route 32 – Pavement repair will take place Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will be open through the work area.

Route 21 between the Jefferson County line and Route 32 in Iron County – Roadway resurfacing and sidewalk repair continues.

  • Roadway paving will begin Tuesday, April 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • Guardrail work south of Caledonia continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.
