TRAFFIC IMPACT: MoDOT Will CLOSE Several Ramps this Weekend Overnight for Paving Operations

LEE’S SUMMIT –  The Kansas City District of the Missouri Department of Transportation plans to close the following ramps overnight on April 19 and April 20 for paving operations. This will significantly impact traffic travelling through those areas.

Closures beginning TONIGHT, April 19 at 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Crews will CLOSE the ramp from Route 40 to northbound I-470.
  • Crews will CLOSE the ramp from westbound I-70 to northbound I- 470.
  • Crews will CLOSE the  ramp from northbound I-470 to 39th Street

Closures beginning TOMORROW NIGHT, April 20 at 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Crews will CLOSE the ramp from northbound I-470 to eastbound I-70.
  • Crews will CLOSE the ramp from westbound I-70 to northbound I-470/Route 291.

This work is part of a 13-mile paving project along I-470 from Raytown Road to 39th Street that began on April 7 that will run mainly nighttime operations.
