Resurfacing on Barton County Routes A, T & K

Scheduled to Begin Week of June 3

Barton County – Drivers should expect lane closures and occasional traffic delays when a project to resurface portions of routes A, T & K begins the week of June 3, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

These are the locations being effected:

  • Route A – approximately six miles between Route C and U.S. Route 160 near Lamar
  • Route T – approximately seven miles between U.S. Route 160 and Missouri Route 126 near Lamar
  • Route K – approximately four miles between Route P and Missouri Route 43 near Liberal

Crews will work Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Drivers are urged to use caution as they may experience a rough ride in areas until the resurfacing project is complete.

Drivers also can expect flaggers and pilot cars directing them through the work zone. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zone or before entering the work zone from a side road.

Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone.

Weather and/or scheduling delays will alter the work schedule.
