LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from October 5 through October 9. All work is weather permitting.
JACKSON COUNTY
Missouri Route 7 between U.S. Route 50 and Colbern Rd.: flagging operations from Monday, Oct. 5 until Friday, Oct. 9, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.
Interstate 70 westbound at Interstate 670: lane closures on Thursday, Oct. 8, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for barrier wall work.
JOHNSON COUNTY
Route T between Missouri Route 2 and Route TT: flagging operations on Monday, Oct. 5, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
Route KK between Route O and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Monday, Oct. 5, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
Route UU between Route M and NW 501 Rd.: flagging operations on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
Route OO between Missouri Route 13 and Route M: flagging operations on Wednesday, Oct. 7 and Thursday, Oct. 8, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
South Outer Rd. (Old Hwy 40) between Route Y and Goose Creek Rd.: flagging operations on Monday, Oct. 5, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for drainage work.
Missouri Route 223 at Page City Rd.: flagging operations on Tuesday, Oct. 6 and Wednesday, Oct. 7, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.
Route 13 between Route YY and Route U: flagging operations on Tuesday, Oct. 6 and Wednesday, Oct. 7, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.
PETTIS COUNTY
Route E between Mather Rd. and Maltsbarger Rd.: road closed on Monday, Oct. 5, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.
Route EE between Route HH and Hopewell Rd.: road closed on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair.
RAY COUNTY
Route B at various locations: flagging operations on Monday, Oct. 5, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair work.
Route K at various locations: flagging operations on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair work.
Route N between Missouri Route 10 and Rock Falls Rd.: flagging operations on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair work.
Route A between Reno Rd. & Sader Rd.: flagging operations on Thursday, Oct. 8, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for drainage work.
SALINE COUNTY
Interstate 70 at Davis Creek Bridge (mile marker 65.8):
- Lane closed on I-70 eastbound on Monday, Oct. 5 and Tuesday, Oct. 6, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for bridge work.
- Lane closed on I-70 westbound on Wednesday, Oct. 7 and Thursday, Oct. 8, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for bridge work.
MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
