LAFAYETTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be closing the Route D bridge over Interstate 70 in Bates City on Monday, Sept. 28 and Tuesday, Sept. 29 from approximately 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day for bridge repair work. The ramps to and from I-70 at the interchange will remain open while work on the bridge is taking place. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
