MILAN, Mo. – Due to current and impending weather conditions, the West Locust Creek Bridge, west of Route 5 near Humphreys, has been reopened. Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation are reevaluating the local detour route to prevent motorists from traveling on frequently flooded roadways. A new closure date and detour route have not yet been established.
Contractors from Boone Construction Company of Columbia plan to have work completed on the West Locust Creek Bridge in early July. The West Yellow Creek Bridge, between Route P and Route 129 east of Milan, is scheduled to close on Monday, May 13, with a planned reopening in early August. Both bridges will be closed from mid-May through early July.
