Commission Awards Contracts for Southeast District Projects

SIKESTON - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded several contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting on July 9. Awarded contracts include sidewalk improvements, asphalt overlays and a bridge replacement.

Contracts include the following:

  • A $234,953 contract was awarded to Jokerst Paving & Contracting, Inc., for sidewalk improvements on Route 32 in Bismarck in St. Francois County.
  • An $11,283,000 contract was awarded to Pace Construction Company, LLC, for thin lift overlays with the addition of shoulders on Route 21 from Route K to Route 34 in Reynolds County, on Route 106 from Route H to Route 21 in Shannon and Reynolds Counties and on Route 21 from Route 60 to Route 160 in Carter and Ripley Counties.
  • A $1,469,584 contract was awarded to the Apex Paving Company for a full depth overlay on Route WW from Route U to the end of state maintenance in New Madrid County.
  • A $382,790 contract was awarded to Robertson Contractors, Inc., for a bridge replacement on Route OO over Dillard Creek in Cape Girardeau County.

Additional information, regarding timelines and impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction.

Work zones will be marked with signs as work is underway. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas and plan for possible delays. MoDOT will alert drivers prior to any changes in traffic.
