Work Will Cause Lane Closure on NB I-435 at Front Street

Traffic Alert: Work Will Cause Lane Closure on Northbound I-435 at Front Street as part of Interchange Improvement Project

CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the left lane of northbound I-435 past Front Street to Route 210 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 for barrier work.

Review the planned work on MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map at traveler.modot.org. To review the traffic impacts, visit KC Scout’s website at www.kcscout.net or our partner WAZE.

This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the old twin bridges over I-435 and Route 210 and widening I-435. All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
