Commission Awards Contracts for Southeast District Projects

SIKESTON - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded several contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting on April 3.  Awarded contracts include construction of a bridge, several asphalt overlays and pavement repairs. Contracts include the following:

• A $1,206,122 contract was awarded to Robertson Contractors, Inc., to construct a bridge on Route 67 in Poplar Bluff at the Oak Grove intersection in Butler County.

• A $4,880,000 contract was awarded to Pace Construction Company, L.L.C., for an asphalt overlay on Route 61 from Route 77 to Route Y near Sikeston in Scott County and an asphalt overlay Route 61 from Route 60 to Interstate 55 in New Madrid County.

• A $49,543 contract was awarded to Fronabarger Concreters, Inc., for pavement replacements on two locations on Route 60 in Butler County.

• A $114,375 contract was awarded to Fronabarger Concreters, Inc., for concrete pavement repairs on various routes in the Southeast District.

• A $150,938 contract was awarded to Apex Paving, Co., for asphalt repairs on various routes in the Southeast District.

• A $114,375 contract was awarded to Fronabarger Concreters, Inc., for concrete pavement repairs on various routes in Pemiscot and New Madrid counties.

• A $172,188 contract was awarded to Apex Paving, Co., for asphalt pavement repairs on various routes in Pemiscot and New Madrid counties.

Additional information, regarding timelines and impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction.

Work zones will be marked with signs as work is underway. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas and plan for possible delays. MoDOT will alert drivers prior to any changes in traffic.
