LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from September 8 until September 11. No work is scheduled for Monday, September 7 due to the Labor Day holiday. All work is weather permitting.
JOHNSON COUNTY
Missouri Route 23 at various locations: flagging operations for seal coating
- Wednesday, Sept. 9 (approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.): between Route Y and SE 1400 Rd.
- Thursday, Sept. 10 (approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.): between Route Y and Business Route 50 (McPherson St.)
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
Missouri Route 131 between Route HH and E 800 Rd: flagging operations from Tuesday, Sept. 8 until Thursday, Sept. 10, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.
Route OO between Route 131 and Route HH: flagging operations from Tuesday, Sept. 8 until Thursday, Sept. 10, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for seal coating.
PETTIS COUNTY
Route T between U.S. Route 50 and Route D: flagging operations on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
PLATTE COUNTY
Missouri Route 92 at various locations: flagging operations from Tuesday, Sept. 8 until Thursday, Sept. 10, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting work.
- Location 1: Route 92 at the Centennial Bridge at the Missouri River
- Location 2: Route 92 over Missouri Route 45
MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
