JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled several lane and ramp closures along both east and westbound I-70 for pavement repairs. This work will begin at 8 p.m. Monday, May 13. This work will have impacts on overnight traffic. All work is weather permitting.
Mon, May 13
- Westbound I-70 will have a double lane closure from U.S. Highway 40 to the Blue Ridge Cutoff beginning at 8 p.m. until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning.
Tuesday, May 14
- Westbound I-70 will have a double lane closure between Noland Road and the Blue Ridge Cutoff beginning at 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. Additionally during this time crews will close the following ramps:
- The ramp from U.S. Highway 40 to westbound I-70.
- The westbound I-70 ramp to U.S. Highway 40.
- The ramp from Noland Road to westbound I-70.
- The westbound I-70 ramp to Blue Ridge Cutoff.
Wednesday, May 15
- Westbound I-70 will have a double lane closure between Noland Road and the Blue Ridge Cutoff beginning at 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. Additionally during this time crews will close the following ramps:
- The ramp from U.S. Highway 40 to westbound I-70.
- The westbound I-70 ramp to U.S. Highway 40.
- The ramp from Noland Road to westbound I-70.
- The westbound I-70 ramp to Blue Ridge Cutoff.
Thursday, May 16
- Beginning at 8 p.m. until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning, crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Noland Road to I-470/Route 291. During this time, the following ramps will be closed:
- The ramp from Noland Road to eastbound I-70.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to Lee’s Summit Road.
- The ramp from Lee’s Summit Road to eastbound I-70.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to southbound I-470/Route 291.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to northbound I-470/Route 291.
- The ramp from southbound I-470/Route 291 to eastbound I-70.
Friday, May 17
- Crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Blue Ridge Cutoff to Noland Road beginning at 8 p.m. until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning. During this time, crews will close the following ramps:
- The ramp from Blue Ridge Cutoff to eastbound I-70.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to Sterling Rd.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to U.S. Highway 40.
- The ramp from U.S. Highway 40 to eastbound I-70.
- The ramp from Blue Ridge Blvd. to eastbound I-70.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to Noland Rd.
Saturday, May 18
- Starting at 8 p.m. until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning, crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Noland Rd. to I-470/Route 291. During this time, crews will close the following ramps:
- The ramp from Noland Rd. to eastbound I-70.
- The ramp from eastbound I-70 to Lee’s Summit Road.
- The ramp from Lee’s Summit Road to eastbound I-70.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to southbound I-470/Route 291.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to northbound I-470/Route 291.
- The southbound Route 291/I-470 ramp to eastbound I-70.
The closures are part of a paving project along I-70 between Sterling Avenue and Route 291 that began in April and is expected to be complete in July. This project will have significant impacts on overnight traffic.
