Road Work for Mid-Missouri

May 13-24, 2019

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of May 13-24, 2019. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause traffic delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Overnight/Daylight Hours
Route 124 over Grindstone Creek, west of Route 63 – New bridge construction continues.

  • Grading and excavation, clearing and new roadway construction will take place the week of May 13. The work is not expected to impact traffic.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in December.


Route 163 (Providence Road) between Interstate 70 and Route K – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue. Occasional lane closures are possible. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Route 763 and the Randolph County line – Pavement repair continues.

  • Work at the Route 22 interchange will result in periodic northbound and southbound ramp closures at the interchange.
  • Guardrail upgrades will take place the week of May 13. One northbound lane and one southbound lane will be open through the work area.
  • The work is scheduled for completion in November.


Route 763 (College Avenue) between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Rollins Street –
Pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Daylight Hours
Route 163 between Route H and Route K – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.

  • Following weather delays, shoulder widening between Route K and Tom Bass Road is scheduled to begin the week of May 13. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • Sign relocations will take place along the entire project the week of May 13.
  • The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.



Callaway County
Daylight Hours /Overnight Hours
Business Route 54 between the Route H and Route 54 interchange – Pavement improvements continue.  

  • Striping operations are scheduled for the week of May 13. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Daylight Hours
Route O between Route D and State Street – Resurfacing, shoulder additions and ADA improvements are underway.

  • Grading operations will continue the week of May 13. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Route O over Auxvasse Creek, east of County Road 111 –
Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Camden County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 242 between Route 54 and the Miller County line – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening is underway.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route MM between Route 242 and Route TT – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening is underway. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route KK between Osage Beach Parkway and Turkey Bend Road – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening is underway. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Business Route 54 between Route 242 and Route MM – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening is underway.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Pavement repair continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in May.

Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Route KK and East Valley Drive – Pavement improvement and J-Turn installation continues. The project is scheduled for completion in August.

Route J over the Little Niangua River north of Deer Meadow Road - New bridge construction continues. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area.


Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route C between Route 54 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues. 

  • Milling work will take place between Jefferson City and Russellville the week of May 13. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Route 54 between the Callaway County line and the Miller County line –
Rock cut cleaning along the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 24. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route H over Bois Brule Creek, south of Corvette Lane – Bridge maintenance will take place on Tuesday, May 14. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route 135 between Bock Street and Main Street – Sidewalk repairs continue.

  • The road will be closed between Main Street and Harris Street sometime during the week of May 13 for sidewalk tie-in. When the road is closed, it will be closed for up to five days. Detours will be in place around the closure.
  • The project is set for completion in July.

 
Route 87 between Route J and Route 50 in Moniteau County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, May 20 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Route B and Hopewell Road – Pavement patching will take place Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route W between Route J and Clarksburg Drive – Pavement patching will take place Monday, May 20 through Wednesday, May 22. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Interstate 44 and Main Street – ADA sidewalk improvements continue the week of May 13. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 16. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y in Iron County – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Interstate 44 and Route 19 – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 16. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M between Route VV and Route YY – Pavement repair will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route N between Interstate 44 and the Washington County line – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 16. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route TT between Route 8 and Liberty Road – Pavement repair will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Dent County
Daylight Hours
Route H between Route C and Route 63 in Phelps County – Pavement patching will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 16. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route E and County Road 323 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, May 20 through Thursday, May 23. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route V between Route 3 and Route 5 in Chariton County - Pavement patching will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 16. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route JJ between Route 3 and County Road 209 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 16. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 in Camden County – Pavement repair continues. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in May.

Daylight Hours
Route N between Route AC and the Interstate 44 South Outer Road – Pavement patching will take place Monday, May 13 through Wednesday, May 15. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route 68 and Interstate 44 in Phelps County – Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation continues.

  • Shoulder work and northbound acceleration lane construction continues at the intersection of Route 68. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Route 63 between Route 42 and Route AA –
Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 63 between County Road 325 and County Road 341 – Rock cut cleaning will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 over Business Route 54 in Eldon – Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Route 54 over Old Tuscumbia Road, east of Route 52 – Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.


Moniteau County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route E over North Moreau Creek, south of Route 50 – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-June.

Route 87 between Route 50 and Route J in Cooper County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, May 20 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route 54 in Cole County and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues.

Route KK between Route D and Gooseberry Hollow Road

Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 52 and Zulaue Street – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 16. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 between Route 5 and Westview Drive – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route 52 and Route 54 in Cole County – Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues. 

  • Milling work will take place between Jefferson City and Russellville the week of May 13. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.



Phelps County

Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route CC – Roadway and sidewalk repair continues.

  • Sidewalk repair during the daytime hours continues. One lane will be open through the work area.
  • Concrete pavement repair during the nighttime hours between Olive Street and Vichy Road continues. One lane will be open and the middle turn lane will be used for through traffic. Crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in October.


Route B over the Bourbeuse River, north of County Road 1400
– New bridge construction continues.

  • The road is closed until mid-June for the construction of tie-ins for the new roadway alignment. Detours are in place around the closure.

Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route 68 in Maries County – Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation will continue.

  • Shoulder work and northbound acceleration lane construction continues at the intersection of Route 68. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Route 8 between Route 68 and the Crawford County line
– Brush cutting will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route H between Route 63 and Route C in Dent County – Pavement patching will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 16. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M between Route 63 and Route J – Pavement patching will take place Monday, May 20 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 44 Outer Road (Arlington Road) between Interstate 44 and County Road 7300 – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life continues.

  • Guardrail installation is scheduled for the week of May 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 


Interstate 44 Outer Road (Arlington Road) between Interstate 44 and County Road 7300 –
Edge rut repair will take place Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 16. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight Hours
Route 7 over the Gasconade River, south of Rio Road – Bridge painting is underway. Minimal traffic impacts are expected. Project is scheduled for completion in June.

Route 17 between Interstate 44 and the Texas County line – Pull paving will take place Thursday, May 16 through Thursday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 


Washington County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 185 over Fourche Renault Creek, south of Fourche Renault Road – Bridge rehabilitation continues. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-June.

Route 21 between the Jefferson County line and Route 32 in Iron County – Roadway resurfacing and sidewalk repair continues.

  • Roadway paving is scheduled for the week of May 13. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
  • The project is scheduled for completion in November.
