JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled several lane and ramp closures near the I-70 and Route 291/I-470 interchange and U.S. Highway 40 for pavement repairs. This work will begin at 7 p.m. TONIGHT, Monday, May 13 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. This work will have impacts to traffic in the area. At least one lane of traffic will be open in each direction along both north and southbound I-470/Route 291 All work is weather permitting.
Monday, May 13 (from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning)
- Crews will be paving along the ramp from U.S. Highway 40 to northbound I-470, its auxiliary lane, and the ramp from northbound I-470 to eastbound I-70. Both of these ramps and the auxiliary lane will be
- Additionally, crews will be paving along northbound I-470 in the second lane from the left from approximately I-70 to 39th The following ramps will be closed during this time:
- Eastbound I-70 loop ramp to northbound I-470/Route 291.
- The northbound I-470/Route 291 loop ramp to westbound I-70.
- The westbound I-70 ramp to northbound I-470/Route 291.
- The northbound I-470 off ramp to 39th
- The on ramp from 39th Street to southbound I-470.
- The southbound I-470 ramp t westbound I-70.
