CONSTRUCTION WORK: Lane Closures for Paving, Bridge Work Scheduled for Wednesday Through Sunday on I-435 Project
JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled several lane closures on eastbound and westbound I-435 between State Line Road and the Three Trails Crossing for the rest of the week, through Sunday for pavement and bridge work. This will be both daytime and nighttime work. Closures include:
Daytime work for Wednesday, May 15 through Friday, May 17: Crews will CLOSE the left lane of the “exit lanes” on eastbound I-435 from Holmes Road to the 104th Street Bridge starting at 6:30 a.m to 1 p.m. for new pavement construction.
Nighttime Work for Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, May 16: Crews will CLOSE two lanes on I-435 eastbound – the right lane of the “express lanes” and left lane of the “exit lanes” -- at Holmes Road each night from 7:30 pm to 5 a.m. for bridge demolition. Both northbound and southbound Holmes Road will also be CLOSED at the bridge from 6:30 pm to 5 a.m.
Nighttime Work for Friday, May 17: Crews will CLOSE BOTH of the “express lanes” on westbound I-435 for new pavement construction on Friday night from 7:30 pm and to 5 a.m.
Wornall Road Bridge demolition Friday, May 17 through Sunday, May 19: Crews will CLOSE two lanes of I-435 eastbound – the right lane of the “express lanes” and left lane of the “exit lanes” -- at Wornall Road starting Friday at 7:30 p.m. through Sunday at 5 a.m. for bridge demolition. Both northbound and southbound Wornall Road will be CLOSED at the bridge from 6:30 pm Friday to 5a.m. Sunday.
All work is weather dependent.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
