UPDATED SCHEULE: Lane and Ramp Closures Scheduled for Portions of I-70 Continues This Week

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled several lane and ramp closures along both east and westbound I-70 for pavement repairs. This work will begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15. This work will have impacts on overnight traffic. All work is weather permitting.

Wednesday, May  15

  • Westbound I-70 will have a double lane closure between Noland Road and the Blue Ridge Cutoff beginning at 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. Additionally during this time crews will close the following ramps:
    • The westbound I-70 ramp to U.S. Highway 40.
    • The ramp from U.S. Highway 40 to westbound I-70.

Thursday, May 16

  • Beginning at 8 p.m. until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning, crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Noland Road to Route 291.

Friday, May 17

  • Crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Blue Ridge Cutoff to Noland Road beginning at 7 p.m. until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning.

Saturday, May 18

  • Starting at 7m. until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning, crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Noland Rd. to I-470/Route 291.

The closures are part of a paving project along I-70 between Blue Ridge Cutoff and Route 291 that began in April and is expected to be complete in July. This project will have significant impacts on overnight traffic.  For potential impacts to traffic, please review KC Scout cameras at http://www.kcscout.net or consult our real-time traffic partner, WAZE.
