JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled several lane and ramp closures along both east and westbound I-70 for pavement repairs. This work will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16 and will have impacts on overnight traffic. All work is weather permitting.
Thursday, May 16
- Beginning at 8 p.m. until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning, crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Noland Road to 291.
- NEW: Starting at 8 p.m. until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning, crews will have a double lane closure along westbound I-70 from Little Blue Parkway to Blue Ridge Cutoff for striping work.
Friday, May 17
- Crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Blue Ridge Cutoff to Noland Road beginning at 7 p.m. until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning.
Saturday, May 18
- Starting at 7 p.m. until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning, crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Noland Rd. to I-470/Route 291.
The closures are part of a paving project along I-70 between Blue Ridge Cutoff and Route 291 that began in April and is expected to be complete in July. This project will have significant impacts on overnight traffic.
