JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Local maintenance crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will narrow eastbound Interstate 44 just west of Exit 140 (Stoutland exit) to one lane tomorrow, Aug. 26, and Thursday, Aug. 27, for emergency bridge deck (driving surface) repairs at the bridge over Bear Creek. Between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily, crews will repair the driving surface of the left-hand or passing lane.
Drivers should slow down, avoid distractions, and be alert for signs, traffic control devices and crew members working close to the traveling public.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
