JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will conduct various
closures on WB I-70 for signage work. All work is weather permitting. See below for traffic modifications:
Tuesday, Aug. 25 until Friday, Aug. 28 between approx. 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Overnight lane closures on westbound I-70 on the north side of the downtown loop between MO 9 and Broadway Blvd.
- Added: Crews will CLOSE the on and off ramps from MO 9 to WB I-70
- Added: Crews will CLOSE the on and off ramps from Independence Ave to WB I-70.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris form the roadway.
