CORRECTED DATE TRAFFIC ALERT:

One-Lane Traffic on Route 86 at Long Creek Bridge May 21-23

What: Long Creek bridge on Missouri Route 86 reduced to ONE LANE to allow MoDOT crews to complete the installation of scaffolding ahead of an urgent repair project 

When: 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday, May 21-23. All lanes open at night. 

Why: MoDOT crews will install scaffolding on the bridge which will be used during an urgent repair project which starts June 3 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Drivers will notice the installation of detour signs on Route 13, Route 76, Route 465 and Route 65 as MoDOT crews install the signs ahead of the closing of the bridge for up to 30 day starting Monday, June 3. 

Traffic Impacts during the scaffolding operation:

  • One-lane traffic on Route 86 at the Long Creek bridge where crews are set up working
  • Drivers should expect delays and flaggers guiding traffic through the work zone
  • Drivers are urged to use caution traveling through the work zone due to large equipment and MoDOT workers close to traffic
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes, if possible
