Work continues on bridges in Daviess County

GALLATIN, Mo. – A project to replace expansion joints on a bridge east of Gallatin will begin next week. Contractors from PCiRoads, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to begin work on the Daviess County Route 6 Grand River Bridge on Tuesday, May 28.

Traffic will be narrowed to one lane during the bridge work and will include a 12-foot width restriction during the first stage of construction. The project will continue, Monday through Friday, through early August.

Work on the Interstate 35 Grand River and Overflow bridges is wrapping up and is expected to be completed on or before Friday, May 24.

All work and schedules are weather permitting. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
