MoDOT to shift traffic on Route 109 over Route 100 Wednesday

ST. LOUIS – Drivers on Route 109 over Route 100 should be prepared for slower traffic, especially during morning and evening rush hours, once traffic shifts so MoDOT can start widening the bridge over Route 100.

On Wednesday, May 29, after morning rush, crews will close the left turn lane on the bridge over Route 100. They will then move northbound traffic into that closed lane (shifting traffic to the west), so they can start widening work on the northbound lanes. Drivers will still be able to turn left from southbound Route 109 to eastbound Route 100 from the through lane.

The yearlong project widens and puts a new deck on the Route 109 bridge over Route 100, and makes several intersection improvements between that bridge and Manchester Road in Wildwood.
