Champ Clark Bridge on U.S. Route 54 to Close Due to Flooding

HANNIBAL - Due to rising waters of the Mississippi River, the Illinois Department of Transportation will close U.S. Route 54 at the Champ Clark Bridge in Louisiana some time Monday morning or early afternoon.  IDOT will notify Missouri Department of Transportation crews, who will set up barricades on the Missouri side at the same time IDOT sets up barricades on the Illinois side.

It is eminent it will close, yet an exact time is not known.  Any travelers needing to use U.S. Route 54 are encouraged to look at MoDOT's website at www.modot.org on the traveler map to see if the flooding icon appears at the Champ Clark Bridge.  IDOT's website will show the same.
