MAYSVILLE, Mo. – Over the Memorial Day weekend, a culvert deteriorated to the point a hole appeared in the road surface on Route 6 near Oak. Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation worked overnight Monday, May 27, to place rock in the hole and patch the road surface. They will continue to monitor the roadway to ensure the rock and patch hold through the rain and severe weather we’re expecting across Northwest Missouri this week. Crews are working to maintain two-way traffic on the roadway until the culvert under the roadway can be replaced.
Crews will close Route 6 from Route 31 (south) to Route N on June 3, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., to replace the culvert. Motorists will need to use an alternate route during the closure. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
