Day and Nighttime Work Planned along I-435 from State Line Road to the Three Trails Crossing

 

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled several lane closures on eastbound and westbound I-435 between State Line Road and the Three Trails Crossing through the week. This will be both daytime and nighttime work. On Monday, June 3, crews will again switch the traffic pattern on westbound I-435. Please read the details carefully and prepare for the change in your commute. Closures include:

Daytime Closures:

  • Crews will CLOSE the right lane of the “express” lanes on eastbound I-435 from Wornall Road to Blue River Bridge for bridge construction daily through Friday from 6:30 a.m. through 1 p.m.
  • Crews will CLOSE the right lane of the “express” lanes of westbound I-435  from the Three Trails Crossing to State Line Road for new pavement construction daily through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 pm.

 Nighttime Closures:

  • On Wednesday night, May 29, crews will CLOSE both “express” lanes on eastbound I-435 from State Line Road to Three Trails Crossing from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. for bridge reconstruction
  • Thursday and Friday, crews will CLOSE both “express” lanes on westbound I-435 from Three Trails Crossing to State Line Road for new pavement construction beginning each night at 7:30 pm and ending at 5 a.m.

 Saturday, June 1:

Crews will CLOSE the following ramps for asphalt resurfacing:

  • From 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., crews will close the exit ramps from westbound I-435 to Holmes Road and westbound to Wornall Road. 
  • From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., crews I-435 westbound entrance ramp from Wornall Road, and the I-435 eastbound entrance ramp from Wornall Road.

******Monday, June 3:  

Crews will CLOSE the left lane of the westbound I-435 “exit” lanes from Three Trails Crossing to State Line Road  to switch the traffic configuration. This closure will begin at 10 a.m. and when it ends at 6 p.m. traffic will be switched to one “express” lane and three “exit” lanes.

 

All work is weather dependent.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
